Fun Hikes to Do in Utah Valley This Summer

As the summer weather is still upon us, there’s no better way to take advantage of it than getting out and enjoying mother nature and the fresh air. Utah is home to some amazing views, and Utah Valley is one of those places. Nothing can really compare to the amazing mountains and canyons that surround it, and if you enjoy the scenery, you’ll definitely love hitting the trails to see more. Here are a few of our favorite hikes in the valley.

Bridal Veil Falls
Located in Provo Canyon, this amazing waterfall can be seen while driving. To get a better view, hike the quick paved trail. If you have small children, don’t sweat. This trail is 1.3 miles round trip and is easy for everyone, including children. You’ll be able to bring your furry friends if they are kept on a leash, too! At the Bridal Veil Falls park, you’ll be able to find picnic table and areas where you can barbecue. So plan a family-fun day and enjoy each other’s company and the pretty waterfall.

Timpanogos Cave

This is one of seven national monuments located in Utah, and it’s definitely something you should experience once in your life. The cave can only be entered with a guided tour, and before you reach the cave, you have to hike up a steep 1.5-mile-long trail. The trail isn’t too bad; it is paved, and while you’re hiking, you’ll get to see spectacular views of American Fork Canyon and the surrounding areas. Keep in mind that children of all ages are permitted, but strollers and other items aren’t permitted, so think about that as you plan.

Stewart Falls
This family-friendly hike is about 3.5 miles round-trip. It’s a good amount of distance for family members who want to spend a few hours out in the wilderness hiking through a small forest on the east side of Mount Timpanogos and still not be too far from the city. At the end of the hike, you’ll reach your destination—a beautiful scenic waterfall where you can spend some time relaxing and enjoying the falls. A great time to start this hike is the early summer mornings or around fall to see the autumn-colored leaves.

You can’t go wrong with at least one of these fun summer hikes in Utah Valley. To make sure you get to your destinations safety, we also recommend coming to see us at our service department so you are ready for all your outdoor adventures. See you soon!
